jimswinder
Anyone who would like the below star in a PDF, just PM me your email. If printed at full size, it will cover a piece of paper 36" x 42" (approximately 32" across)..so you will need to take it to a printer that has a plotter. How it is set up is that the Red star is set for a 100ct string, the White Star a 70ct string and the Blue star a 50ct string. You can not see it on the attached pic, or probably in the pdf (if you open it on your computer), but when it is printed you will see a small dot for the spacing of the lights. The Red and blue stars are spaced at 1", the middle white star is spaced at 1-1/18".Questions?EDIT:If you need a smaller star, you can have the printer adjust the size...also, the PDF is not in color... jimswinder
I have made some modifications to the star...at least the pdf, that include the diemensions of the 3/4" PVC I used to make a frame around the coroplastic to help keep it rigid. Will add some pics tonight when I get home... jimswinder
Here is my earlier star, but with a PVC frame for support. The dimensions in the picture are for the white lines, which are the CUT lengths of the 3/4" PVC.All fittings are 45 degree elbows. I just zip tied the frame to the coroplastic.Red Star is 100ct LED's, Blue is a 70ct string and the Pure White is a 50ct string.Red and white lights are spaced 1" on center and blue is 1-1/8" on center. If you would like the "new" PDF file so you can print out your own, just PM me. George Simmons
Could you add the drill holes for a smaller star to use the center space? Would a 35 ct light set work there?
jimswinder
I'll see what I can put in there...but it's an odd number since there are 10 "legs"..would be 3.5 lights per leg...probably the best would to be just use 30 of the lights and black out the other 5... George Simmons
My thought was to fill the space in the center, so the legs aren't the critical factor. I looked at is as five spaces to be filled rather than ten legs to be followed.
jimswinder
I myself am putting a strobe in the middle...you can see it in the lower left hand photo of the back of the star...
George Simmons
I like the idea of having four channels to use to mark the beat.
