Dave Plummer
Hi all, I'm new to the forums. Have been doing lights for a while and started playing with controllers last year.I have 2 LOR 1602W's ( I might try to get one more), but I have a scheduling question. Last year I had one controller supporting my megatree, so I wrote a sequence and used the scheduler to play it once every half hour. Here's where the question comes in. I'm not in a location that I can have people stop and listen to a song or anything so I don't use music. I just want to have some motion in my display. This year I want to do the megatree (16ch), leaping arches (8ch) and shooting star (8 ch) and possibly some fading colors if I get another controller. What's the best way to sequence that. I want to have these things happen at different times throughout the night, not all together and stop. I've recieved some suggestions from another forum, just want to see if there are any different thoughts here. Thanks
George Simmons
My suggestion would be to create one long animation sequence - like a half hour or even an hour - with all your animations spaced however you want them and then just let that sequence repeat for whatever length of time you want it to run each evening. -klb-
Tracks in animation sequences don't all have to be the same length. Make one track for each element, and have track lengths that are not multiples of each other, and they will all run sort of randomly through the evening.
