Thought i would share this video link with you. Its nearing our Carnival season here in the South West of England.

We have Carnival every year, to celebrate Guy Fawkes failure to blow up the Houses of Parliament in the 1600's

Originally they celebrated this by lighting barrels of tar and floating them down the river, which is where we get the name today of Carnival Floats, although many call them carts, i prefer the traditional name.

The carnival floats are made by local clubs, which fund raise throughout the year to build.

The Carnival then runs through 8 local towns.

I guess you have to be here to appreciate the whole thing, but i thought i would post the link to the Youtube video so it would give you some idea.

If you like what you see, why not do a search on Youtube for other towns carnivals:
Bridgwater, Burnham on sea, Wells, Glastonbury, Weston Super Mare, Shepton Mallet.

Enjoy!
