Tom Clapper Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I'd like to add a few strobes to my display but don't have the extra $$$ to buy a bunch of them this year. Anyone have some extras, or some they just want to sell. Let me know what you have. Thanks
crackchecker Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 so far CDI still has the best prices that I have found for Xenon.

Tom Clapper Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 After doing some checking and some advise from a fellow LOR user I think I'm looking for Xenon strobes. Sounds like the LED ones appear to be more like just a blinking lite than a strobe. If anyone has a few of these for sale please let me know. Thanks.

ace_master Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I heard my name... lol. What colors are you after? PM me what colors and how many your after. The strobes I have are CDI xenons... not sure exactly what I've got but I'll check tomorrow morning.

mikid Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 im thinking about adding strobes also this year, where might the best place be to get the sockets.................
ace_master Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 mikid wrote: im thinking about adding strobes also this year, where might the best place be to get the sockets................. Creative displays sells both C7 and C9 sockets here. They also sell the Zip cord and end pieces for the zip cord too. You can also get pre-socketed strings with up to 3FT spacings. If you plan on using wire you already have... make sure what you are buying for sockets will fit the wires you have. And don't forget your strobes while you're looking around (white come 10pk... and Xenon/Incad is the preferred type over LEDs if you haven't read up on that yet).
jgp01 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Hi I'm new around here, and not sure if this is the right place to post this considering there hasn't been a post in a few months.I found these strobes at Party City:http://www.partycity.com/product/strobe+light+bulb+5+watt.do?sortby=ourPicks&size=all&from=Search&navSet=strobethey're on sale now for $4.49 each. Plus there are coupons out there for more off...They're medium base, so you'd have to make-up your own string from temporary lighting sockets (home depot). Also they're a bit slow (1 flash approx every 2 sec.)They're not LED and they're bright as hell. I used then as is, without modification for lulls or drama for an intro...Don't know how they'll hold up...but for that price I couldn't resist.Let me know if anyone else tries / or has tried them...Joe
