Using multiple songs in a show

I'm sure this question has come up somewhere else, but I couldn't find it in my search. I apologize if I'm being redundant.

Last year was my first year using LOR. A musical sequence looked overwhelming, so I did an animation sequence. This year it's time to step up to the plate and do a musical sequence. That's where I'm getting confused.

I've chosen 4 songs to sequence. I setup a new musical sequence with the first song. How do I add the other songs? As I'm looking at this it looks like maybe you create a separate sequence for each song, then add each sequence into the show editor under the musical tab. If that's the case, once I setup my channels, labeling, etc on the first song, can I use that as a template to import into the other sequences?

Thanks for the help!

You've got it right.

Create a sequence for each song. Then add each sequence into a show.

You can go to Edit -> Import/Export Channel Configuration to save a template of your channels from sequence to sequence.

Wow! Talk about some quick responses! Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I just didn't want to sequence an entire song only to learn I have to redo it because I didn't set something up correctly!

Let the fun begin! Time to start sequencing!!

Guess I'm sort of the odd man out here, but I always edited all my songs into one very large song. I learned that trick from Mike Zimkowski. That way, I can blend and/or merge all the songs as I want them, edit each song for length, etc, etc, .. with exactly the right amount of time between each song.

I probably have a shorter show than most people - 10-14 minutes typically - but if you've ever seen MikeZ's show on his website, it's entirely worth the effort.
