Just taught my wife through her first ever soldering job with a little double heart kit to peak her interest. curious has anyone else done the same sort of thing to get a little extra help with future pc kits ? TJ Hvasta Posted September 13, 2011 Share Posted September 13, 2011 My wife continually does the "I dont think on that side of the brain, I cant do electronics.." so soldering is out, but she does make her own crafts and kits, so as long as it isnt wires, she's ok.. I just asked her to try listening to a Disney song (LuminAria) I want to use for a sequence, close her eyes and picture what she'd like to see happen at points in the song, (megatree spin, minitrees change color, candycanes chase, etc), to see if I can get her (or my kids) involved in sequencing. She used a ball bonder at work, but she also had learned to solder in school to prepare her for that career. So she was happy to build a few boards, including a transmitter kit.
