Eagerly awaiting the delivery of my LOR1602W...:waycool:

Mary at customer service says my order will be in just after Thanksgiving. They are top notch in the customer service department BTW!!!

In the meantime, I have all of the displays hanging and getting stretched out on the garage.

I followed all of the suggestions written by the users of this forum:

1. Stretched out Icicle lights
2. Stretched out bush net lights
3. Building frame for mini lights to be mounted on outside windows
4. Built 5 trees using tomato plant holders
5. Sequenced the following:
Wizards in Winter (TSO)
Silent Night (Kenny G)
Have yourself a Merry X-mas (Kenny G)
Carol of the Bells (David Foster)
Nightingale Sang in Barkley Square (Manhattan Transfer)
6. Took measurements for extension cords
7. Took measurements and mapped out lights and placements

Appreciate any feedback from the more experienced users if there is anything I am missing???

Concerns:

Electrical draw on Icicle lights on the rain gutter... I want to outline the roofline also, but I do not have enough channels to go around. I am looking at the following:

Channel 1 gutter=2 strings of Icicle lights, 600 mini total
Channel 2 entrance=2 strings of minis, 200 total
Channel 3 Rt Window=1 string of minis, 100 total
Channel 4 Ctr Window=2 strings of minis, 200 total
Channel 5 Lt Window=1 string of minis, 100 total
Channel 6 Rt Lawn=4 string of minis, 400 total
Channel 7 Ctr Rt Lawn=4 string of minis, 400 total
Channel 8 Ctr Lt Lawn=4 string of minis, 400 total

Channel 9 Lt Lawn=4 string of minis, 400 total
Channel 10 Rt Bush=Net minis, 200 total
Channel 11 Ctr Rt Bush=Net minis, 200 total
Channel 12 Ctr Lt Bush=Net minis, 200 total
Channel 13 Lt Bush=Net minis, 200 total
Channel 14 Rt Trees=10 strings of minis, 1000 total
Channel 15 Ctr Trees, lawn stuff=300 minis total
Channel 16 Lt Trees, lawn stuff=500 minis total

Am I overloading??? based on the set up I have listed above???
Would I be able to add at least 400 extra minis to Channel 1? for the roof line???

Am I getting too ambitious with the lights and tone the number of lights a bit?

Much appreciated,

Bob in El Camino Village, California

Thanks Mike, I should have used the "search" feature in the forum.

Appreciate the re-direct!!!

Will get out the calculator now and figuring out if I'm going to be good to go.

Cool, Ran the numbers and I am well below the safe limits for each channel being no more than 8 amps and each "bank" of channels being no more than 15 amps per side (at least for the model LOR I have)

A question came up about the 3 string rule though???

How would I go about tying in an additional 6 strings of mini 100's to the existing Icicle 300's without worrying about the internal fuses blowing in the strings itself? The Icicle 300's X 2 are for the rain gutter, mini 100's X 6 are for the roof line.

Could I perhaps run a "power strip" from the Channel 1 cord to power each string of lights themselves....

Thanks in advance for all of the help.
