jerrymac
The manual indicates that the antenna should be 8' above the grouind and basically line of sight. I would like to use one to send the date to a controler on my roof (I have power on the roof but would rather not run cat 5 there. Would the light linker work to send data from inside the house to the roof (same house)?
Guest guest
I would expect it to without problem, assuming your house is typical construction..
Rick Hughes
I'll chime in as well that you shouldn't have any problems.I had my PC inside the house and had no difficulty communicating with ELL receivers on my roof (passing through wall and roof) and to ELLs on the neighboring homes - one on a second floor roof and one at ground level.Never missed a beat.Rick
Guest guest
Would expect you'd also have some flexibility, at least maybe on the roof, more than from inside the house, to move the unit around and get as close to a clear path as possible.
