Denise Brunner
How do all you that have Spiral / Mega trees store them for the off months. Still trying to figure a way to store them the best way possible. I really don't want to strip them down to single mega strands.
bdeditch
Thats what I do, it a lot easier than trying to carry a pole with a lot of lights on it.
Greg
I had to resort to that last year. I wanted to take the entire thing down, lay it flat and roll it up in a tarp. Got to many tangles so I decided to strip it down to single strands.
Denise Brunner
Wow, thats a ton of work !!! I have to work on a better idea. I was thinking of something like the tarp idea or into a circular container.
jimswinder
I lower mine down into a tub, which has a combination of a plastic tarp and fish netting so I can "wrap" the lights up (Can get you pics if you want)...but all my strings of lights are tie wrapped to the "guy wires" of the tree.No issues with the strings getting tangled (8000 LED's).Both my Mega and Weber tree are built this way.Though the lights are not in the tub in this video, you might get a better idea:http://vimeo.com/15934905I tried using a large plastic garbage can...but too many lights for such a narrow container. Denise Brunner
Yesterday I found the large green garbage containers that the professional trucks use (maybe 3 ft round) thinking of using something like that????

My Home Depot did not have any...How many strings on your tree (weight-wise).I figured each string 100ct string of C6's is about 1.5lbs...So my tree has nearly 150lbs of lights... Denise Brunner
Our Lowes has them for 51 dollars. I have 64 strings of lights on the tree so there will be some weight.
