Al in Raleigh
Registration ENDS Aug 25, 2011 for The Carolina Christmas Convention in Raleigh, NC. The convention is August 27, 2011. Here is the link with all of the information.http://carolinaconventionraleigh.eventbrite.com/To summarize what the convention is about, the convention is ideal for persons new to animated displays as well as seasoned people with large displays. We will have presentations in:1) RGB LED nodes (if you don't know what that means you should)2) DMX lighting (another area you may want to explore--using LOR products as well)3) Ways to control high power portions of your display (fog machines, motors, etc),4) How Scott made his first year display (using Light-o-rama products)5) Blowmold light retrofitting using LEDs (this is an excellent thing to learn)6) Using snow machines (Don is an expert)etc.Judy Pancoast will perform and sing "The House on Christmas Street) and other songs. We will have an area for swap shop items. You can bring stuff you want to sell or you can buy from other folks attending the convention. We also have an excellent lunch planned. If that isn't enough to convince you, we have some excellent doorprizes and with approximately 100 people attending, you will have an excellent chance of winning. A few of the doorprizes are 1) Light-o-rama donated a Cosmic Color Ribbon (valued at $249) AND a Showtime Mini Director (valued at $129. Dan Baldwin was very generous.2)Red Mountain Lights donated yet ANOTHER Light-o-rama Cosmic Color Ribbon (valued at $249)3) for a full list of sponsor and donations check the link above. This year's convention is hosted by the Triangle Area Synchronized Lighting which is located in Raleigh, NC and dedicated to having The Triangle Area and NC known for animated displays. Every person involved is donating their time and talents to keep down costs and ensure a great convention.
Al in Raleigh
Due to hurricane Irene and possible hardships to presenters and attendees, we have decided to move the Convention date to September 24th. All tickets will remain good for the new date, but you may contact us for cancellation if necessary. The rental Hall people have graciously allowed us to change to this new date (the only one they had open).
