Got these in sets of 3 for really cheap and found them very easy to upgrade with the CCR. Just playing with the set up.

Looks real good. Are you using the factory sequencing or doing your own? Where purchased? Details please.

It's a LOR CCR, 50 pixels, 150 channels(has it's own controller).

I have 18 of the same trees in my display wrapped with 3 colors. Have been waiting to put ccr's on them. Now I know what they will look like!! Thanks!!

Glad you like it! This is all custom sequencing done by myself. Using one LOR Cosmic Color Ribbon. The built in effect are fun and i suppose a time saver but i think its just easier to build you own. The sequence in this video took me about 4 hours to create and fine tune. I prefer to work with every pixel group individually in the LOR software. I am a control freak and thats how you can get the really neat complex effects.

There are 50ch for the CCR that control the 150 individual pixels. The pixels are grouped in 3's making the 50 pixel groups. There are 7 extra channels that will show up below the individual pixel groups that control the built in effects and such. At times I will run them in one channel if I am quickly trying to get the whole strip a single color.

You're going to have one kick butt display with so many busy elements.:dude::cool::cool:

Definitely looking to go over the top! We are packing a lot into a very small space and every piece I wanted to create needed to be able to create many different looks and effects to keep the whole display diverse and constantly changing from sequence to sequence. I want to tell a story with the entire display.

These cheat spirals trees are great. They are very inexpensive and easy to customize. I want to zip some icicle lights to the spirals on mine the fill in the spaces and allow you to fill out the trees and make them look more solid. Was a neat option to be able to bump them on and off with the CCR on top. Pretty cool effect when we tried it.

How long do you think I'll be kicking myself for throwing 4 of these trees out at the end of last year?

Just couldn't take it anymore. They were flimsy, kept leaning one direction or the other. Now I'm wishing I would have kept them and just made them more sturdy.

looks great. can you post any pics and details of what you did to reinforce them? I thought about just using the trees like that as a template and having someone take electrical conduit as the pole and weld me a wire frame the same dimensions around it but if there is an easy way to REALLY reinforce the stock tree that would be great.

I have a couple broken ones, now I know what to use them for.

That is really cool! The simplicity of the treee design, with all the things the lights can do make that a powerful little design element.
