Can the controller be mounted to a metal plate?

So, i'm doing a custom enclosure that will be able to hold 144 channels eventually, but i'm having some concern with mounting the devices to a metal plate. Does anybody know if i can mount the controllers using the high powered heat sinks to a metal plate, or should i try and get some plexiglass?

You can mount it to metal. The ShowTime line that LOR sells are in metal boxes.

HP heatsinks to metal plate is fine. Actually good, as it helps dissipate heat. The heatsinks are fully isolated. In the 1602w, they are bolted to the steel case.

Golden. I'm mounting 9 of them inside this enclosure. Wasn't to concerned with the grounds being shared, but didn't want to be shorting out anyting when i did that. Using a nema12 enclosure so i can hopefully wire my show to an abandonded train station this or next year.

I think it's a great idea. I made 2.
1 has 7 PC's controllers and 1 deluxe, the second has 9 PC's
(only 7 are wired in the pic)

Make sure to add some LED lighting.
Doesn't do any good, but it sure looks cool!!

That's still one of my favorites. I'd like to see some pics of where all your wiring runs if you have any.
