Stand-alone Mode - Simple Question

Hi,

Have two standalone units running, but may need to update the program. Since they are burried inside the display, it would be much easier just to run a CAT5 cable to a convenient point, where I could connect the computer if needed.

Is this okay? Or do you have to take the Cat5 out to allow the "stand alone mode" to run?

You can leave it in. I leave mine attached all the time.

My LOR is turned on/off by a photocell timer unit (turns on a dusk and off at dawn), but I leave the cable in so I can change the standalone sequence or test animations.
