Subdividing timings

Been a while and cannot figure out what is happening. I want to subdivide some cells and it is not available in the menu, it is greyed out. I have timings unlocked but I am not able to move them, so is there something wrong?

If I had to guess, you are trying to subdivide a fixed timing grid.

Chose the "Duplicate to Freeform" option from the "Timings" button.

That will create a freeform grid with the exact same timings. You can then modify that grid as you see fit.

Where do I find this "Duplicate to Freeform" I am using 2.9.4 & under Edit Timing there is no such heading? I have also looked under start new sequence & do not see it.

Thanks Mike

Look for a button called "Timings"

I can't remember where the button is by default, but look in the top/right part of your screen. Click the Timings button, and you will see the drop-down list.
