My new water-tight connectors

Just wanted to show some pics of my new watertight connectors from Ray Wu. I asked for black, an he made them at no extra charge. I will use these for my floods, arches, and all kinds of crap! They are sweet. 50 sets delivered from China for $71.00. Very nice product also!

Hey Donny -

They are very nice connectors, but in my opinion and experience, they are totally unnecessary. If you could keep your connectors off the ground instead, you'd be perfectly fine. In addition, how will you seal the pigtails, that sit just a few inches from the "waterproof" connectors? You should have asked here first...

Certainly not worth the time and money, but, to each his own.

Nice! How many wires are they for and what does the pin configuration look like? Do you have a link for them?

Dang, thanks Dave for the wonder words of encouragement! In my opinion and experience, these are completely necessary. I have thought about how I will seal off the the end. But thanks again for the wonder words. These awesome connectors are perfect for what I need, guess that's why I ordered them.

Tim, the connectors are 4 wire. the will be used for some RGB stuff I'm working on. Here is an up close pic of each end.

Here is the link Tim.

So these are essentially the same 4 pin rainbow flood connectors that Greg sells..just a better price?

I'm doing the same thing..but only for 6, so I got mine from Greg.

Don, that is correct. I have some I got from Greg but I wanted black. So when I ordered them I asked Ray to make them in black, he said no problem. I'm setting up my yard landscape lighting, so I did not want white. These are just like Greg's. Now if I can just get Ray to make Greg's lights for 1/3 of the price I will be in great shape. Just kidding Greg!

IMO I agree with ya, a few extra bucks is worth knowing you have one less connection you have to worry about under 3' of snow, or heavy rain in wet grass, to keep those peskee GFIC from tripping.

These connectors are probably not rated for 120v, so GFCI would not be a concern. However, if you're leaving them out all year for landscape lighting, corrosion would be a problem. At this price, they are better than the DIN connectors I bought at the surplus store, but I only needed 8, so it seemed not worth it to pay for shipping from China.

Those aren't all used strobes since some say 2011 on them. :P

I ordered these (four pin) in white and am very happy with them. They will make set up and tear down much easier.

Does he have the extension cables with the same pin configuration (ie 15', 25', etc)?

Here is Ray's site. Send him a message from his site and ask him about what you need. He will work with you.

Funny!:D

Actually I work very closely with Ray. I don't usually purchase from him directly for the majority of the stuff but he gets me directly connected to the manufacturers. That is the case with the 4 pin connectors we sell. We actually switching over to a completely waterproof setup and will be using the pigtails and wiring on all our products. DMX and power over the same line.

I agree those connectors are great! I'm using them on most of my spot lights and a couple new floods I have. I wish they came in 7 or 8 connector though.
