Wayne K
Can any one tell me how the cdi strobes compare to the christmas light show strobes? I was thinking about ordering some of the red and green strobes from cdi. Do they show up good with the color of them?ThanksWayne

There are many of us with colored (and clear) LED strobes who will gladly part with them as soon as a guppy comes along offering little more than paying the shipping. The colored xenon models from CDI are a much better option - brighter flash and they randomize much more quickly than the LED models. My only criticism is that I wish the lenses were a darker color - the reds and greens look red and green, but in a perfect world the color would be darker. Availability is your problem. Paul doesn't believe there's a market for colored xenon strobes and doesn't stock them - you have to wait for his annual pre-sale and then order them in quantities of a hundred at a time. Surfing4Dough
I would wonder how using transparent paint (like glass paint) would work over the clear strobes? Or even a red sharpie for that matter. Seems I have read about somebody spray painting them, but would suspect that this would dull the brightness a decent amount.
