Great Customer Service Stories

I recently had to ship a CTB-16D board back to LOR because it wouldn't respond to any commands.

When I received it back, a nice letter was inside.

Of course I had to tear the bottom of the page to write something down. But, you can't beat CS like this. It's just about extinct anymore.

"because it wouldn't respond to any commands"

I've not had that problem with any LOR equipment, but I have had that problem with my kids!!:D O.K., back to great customer service, sorry, I couldn't resist.
I do remember last year on Thanksgiving day after my computer crashed that LOR reset my seats because I used them all trying to get it fixed. LOR Rocks!!

Same here...I've not had to send anything in for repair, but, any time I've sent a note requesting a triac, or opto, or whatever was needed for a DIY repair, saying "let me know how much and I'll send payment...", the parts show up in the mailbox a few days later, no charge...

How Dan can run a "for free" parts and repair shop, is beyond me, but its truly appreciated.

I bought a couple of PC kits and made a couple stupid mistakes. LOR took great care of getting me the parts I needed. Hopefully they got a good laugh from the story I told them.

I provide great service to my customers at work, now my new bosses are trying to get me to dial back what I do in the interest to be more efficient, which then doesn't make me any better than the competition. Hopefully they will see the error of their ways before it's too late.

I have been abusive to my LOR products so far and have had zero problems. I even have a CRR cut in 10 parts without issue.

Thanks Dan!

When I was an AL user I had a similar problem, but it did not have the problem in the off season, no sir, it happened during the show.........it stopped working on Dec.22 and caused some other issues for me as well.......it was not good.

I had cars lined up out side and no shows for two nights.

I finally got some things sorted out (like sequences that went missing) but thank goodness I had another 21 sequences on stand by and I had a show on Dec 24th .

A number of us switched to Lor or D.I.Y controllers during the off season or very shortly after the season ended.

The Light-O-Rama customer service and the Lor software was one big reason I switched to Lor. Customer service, controllers and the software are the best.

I was an AL user too. Troubles plague my season until I got a replacement board on December 23rd. Needless to say, I switched to LOR and it's been uphill since then.
