GaryBo Posted June 28, 2011 Share Posted June 28, 2011 Check your Antivirus, some antivirus programs literally checks the entire contents of a down load, before downloading, saving it in memory, using up most of your RAM.I switched to Kaspersky, and and my page loads, downloads, etc, are much faster.Also two other things might help. Delete all your "temp" files (know what your doing first), and check the amount of RAM you have as you might need to add a little.A good way to check, is to go to a trusted site, and see how long it takes a page to load (video or other). Then disable your antivirus and see how long it takes to the same page to load. Remember to enable AV afterwards.Lastly make sure you have a good malware program. You can pick up some malware, that AV's don't pick up and it can slow your machine down. I use Malware Bytes, and have been happy.This post is not meant to be an endorsement of the above products.
