Paul C Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 On a CTB16PC blue board: I'm set up to run a sequences upon input 1 closure. Sometimes the sequence starts immediately after the input goes from true to false, but mostly there is a delay, during this time the status light is flashing. what can i do to get rid of this intermittent delay? Thanks, Paul C.
Paul C Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 I should note that the sequence has a video in it, could it just be my computer taking time to play, and if so the LED light flashing is just weighting for my computer?
Max-Paul Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Ok, lets see if I have this correctly. Your controllers are the PC type that rely on the computer to make the lights go on and off (not a show director, or stand alone system)? And you also have a video that starts with the show. And this is all done via a remote input to one of the PC controllers?Ok, if this is all true. Then I would want to direct my attention to the computer. Does this computer have a network connection? Do you have several applications loaded and displayed in the task bar, other than LOR?If you have a network connected to this computer. Turn it off and remove the network cable. Dang networks draw quite a few CPU clocks away from other applications, slowing the other applications down. In your case, this would slow the loading of the video. I have not done videos, but I would suspect your right about the lights waiting for the video to be loaded and ready to play. Go into msconfig if you know how and make sure that only minimum items are being loaded that need to be loaded. Get rid of any IM and what not like that.
Paul C Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 Almost had it, my red status light stays on without the data cable connected. Did I brick my controller?

Paul C Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 Well we are back up our status light is now steady on, thanks again Max-Paul. I Thought that I was experiencing a 16 - 17 second delay when I started a sequence using the input, it seems that the computer delays even when playing in the sequence editor, video or not. I have got the computer down to about 22 processes and noticing the the processor usage is not going up during the delay. The network card has also been disabled. Thanks.
