CLD Kevin
NOT MINE!!Although I wasn't the first to do the singing face, I believe I was the first to use 4 of them. I guess I should have patient or trade market it...not that I did it to make money off it. But others are by selling the faces or selling the sequences on ebay and probably making some good cash. I’ve been asked so many times if I sell the faces or seqences. My wife tells me all the time to do it...I just don’t have the time. Oh well, my bad for not doing anything about it. Pretty soon, everyone on the block is going to have a signing face. Guess I gotta come up with a different idea.http://forums.planetchristmas.com/index.php?/topic/47042-get-the-new-halloween-singing-monster-quartet-for-free/I’m curious about this contest. If you win, you get a $149 item, but probably only cost them pennies on the dollar to make. But then they own the sequences and make how much by selling them? Genius idea if you ask me. Get someone else to do the work.I'm not knocking anyone down for doing this. The opportunity presented itself and they did what I didn’t do...more power to them. That’s my rant for the day. Keith Adams
Although I have had 1 face since 2008 (I got the idea from Kumbaric's 2007 Halloween video before youtube removed the sound), You are indeed the first person I saw do 4 of them. Like you I don't have time to do custom work for anyone else but I do offer my sequences for free to anyone who needs them because if it wasn't for Richard Holdman's free sequences I never would have learned how to program myself. Someone wanted me to build them a copy of my animated snoopy and I guess they don't realize these projects can take an incredible amount of time to make. My coro Snoopy had over 1200 lights and is a wiring nightmare from behind

I just received it on 6/6/2011.You can view that e-mail sent here:http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?llr=lpsr97eab&v=001EXWmPNxFGZuVL3c209yycw8JBPhnvNHr5o5kb3lubnKOP6ZOIWrQKyg0RDzZDXcswK8iD77X27_41kpJ6uFZZjLdV6z7GM2BjkbUA3qKCt1Q8zonUjIsmg%3D%3DOrdering info is here (if you just want to buy them):They have the 4 faces, a singing pumpkin, a gigantic singing pumpkin and a dancing skeleton on the link.http://www.holidaycoro.com/default.html?HW-Characters.asp But the animation window for 4 faces is way too big for my monitor, even using the slider to slide it down still can't get to where I can see all 4 faces and all the other lights in the animation window.Don't have the background image either, SE2 comes up with can't find it. I d/l'd from the link they supplied, but no background jpg was available that I could find.Anyway I just think it's be easier to purchase the 4 faces at the $149 price tag as to try and do a sequence to win them for free. I think it would take a lot more time and hours to create a sequence for these than to just outright buy them. But if anyone wants to enter and win 4 free singing faces, visit that e-mail link above. You only have until June 30, 2011 to enter. Not much time, but maybe someone can win them a set and then review them for the rest of us how they are when they get them. MikeH
I know I was one that asked if you would sell your singing pumpkin sequences. As I am still a newbie to this sequencing, I find doing the singing mouth & keeping it sychronized to the music is still hard for me to grasp. I really only wanted the mouth movements that you already have, the rest of the sequencing I would do myself to match my setup.Surely there's someone on this forum that can help you build a webstore. Of course, with my lack of webstore building (or web anything, for that matter), it may indeed be more difficult than I can imagine. I say listen to your wife and make a little cash (or alot) and sell your expertise to those of us that don't know how.MikeH
Keith Adams
Don't worry doing the mouth movements is still the most time consuming part of any of my Halloween sequences but worth it in the end. I do lots of staring into a mirror to see which mouth shapes are the closest. I noticed you are nearby as I am in Yukon. There is a Bethany display that synchronizes multiple houses together in case you haven't seen it yet.

They've cut down the songs to 3 due to traffic. The lights are terrific. Can't wait t go see the one in Edmond, I believe it's called "Stone Christmas Lights".MikeH
miaskiewicz christian
Are you KJ92508 on youtube ? Because I wanted to tell you thank you because your boom boom pow sequence with your 4 singing faces gave me the will to do something in this spirit for my 2010 Christmas display and I created my Singing Snowman. Thanks again :-))))Cracker wrote: NOT MINE!!Although I wasn't the first to do the singing face, I believe I was the first to use 4 of them. Greg Young
Talking/singing faces predate many of you, so I wouldn't worry about patents. Marty Slack has been using them for a number of years. He has an animated coro band, the infamous talking reindeer that many have copied, his talking heads, and most recently animated giant trees etc. Many folks have been sequencing for years, and a few have decided to turn that into a business. Judging by all the requests for sequences these days there seems to be the demand.Bottom line, if some folks want to take the initiative to make some $$ from things they pickup on the forums, more power to them.If folks don't want what they have done to be copied, then don't post information about it on-line ,as someone will copy what you have done if they like it.Personally I agree with the old adage that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....Greg
Tracy West
I agree with the old adage that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....I had to learn how to create one pumpkin face before I attempted 4 faces. This year I will take on 4 faces.Cracker, you showed us the way and we thank you!
