Amazn1
I need to mount the LOR control box to a piece of plywood. After looking at the control box, there doesn't seem to be an obvious way of doing it. Can someone give me an idea of the best way to do it before I start drilling holls in the back of the controller box? Thanks,
jim6918
I have screwed all of mine either to plywood or the house siding with just a couple of 1 1/2" brass deck screws. There are a couple of clear areas that you can reach in the back of the case, without having to get anywhere near the board. You don't have to go crazy unless you are seriously worried about theft. Just a couple of screws top and bottom should do it. I wouldn't go nuts tightening down the screws, I suppose you could run the heads thru the plastic case, then you would have to washer them up.Make sure the controller is completely unplugged from house power before you do anything. Should have said this first.

Guest guest
Every case I own has at least 6 holes predrilled (CTB16PC).I just used those and 8x1-1/4" Hex Washer Head Zinc metal screws to mount mine directly to a wall of the house, now I have 3 mounted in a large desk using these same screws,Use 4 screws, 1 in each corner and used an extension on my ratchet with a 1/4" socket to tighten the screws down snug. I buy the screws at Lowes. They come in a large plastic container of 50 and number is: H# 35103. Don't recall what I paid for them. But they do the job, and if you just tighten them snug, they'll work just fine. These may not break or eat out the phenolic cases if they happen to get a little overtightened due to the "washer" type head on them.At least I never had an issue with them and the first controller I mounted I did overtighten the first screw I had put in, but it didn't go/break through the case.
