rgardner518
Has anyone covered your arches in white flex dryer hose? I heard it looks brighter and has a better effect! I have seen pictures, but not videos. Does anyone have a recent pictures and videos I can see? I was thinking about trying it for this year.Ray
rgardner518
I just found my answer. I saw it on Plant Christmas's, forum. Whats everyone's opinion on this? Here is a video I found. I think I'm going to try this, this year.

rgardner518
Here is where I "just" bought my hose to cover my arches!http://surplus-city-liquidators.amazonwebstore.com/DEFLECT-CORP-BH450W-WHITE-VINYL-HOSE/M/B00009W3GU.htm
Surfing4Dough
I would wonder if the hose would become brittle in freezing temps. Maybe this has been discussed elsewhere but figured I would throw it out there.
Guest guest
Its definitely two different looks...one more "solid" light...I'm kinda' on the fence at first look..
rodman1369
Might protect the lightstrings a bit from elements...hmmm...
caniac
if you are using LED's for the arches then kinda cool effect but wonder about cold temps and the heat from incandescent?the dryer duct does give a "smoother" flow of light.
Vic Fortenbach
Yep !http://www.doitbest.com/Dryer+vents+and+hose-Builders+Best-model-100017-doitbest-sku-263516.dibI have some, its ok, but I like the white dryer vent better for the arches.
rcpandr
I use it in my 4th of July showhttp://forums.lightorama.com/view_post.php?post_id=245639

jstorms
My vote would be the white dryer vent. Cold isn't an issue here in Texas, heat isn't an issue with LEDs, and it would be a little more protection from the rain.
jimswinder
I agree with the White Dryer Vent tube votes...much softer look...definitely going to try that this year...
caniac
like the white dryer vent also, makes for a softer more flowing glow.

Linda
I would think that paint would keep the lights from showing through the dryer vent but yours look great. What kind of paint did you use to paint them with? Did you use all clear lights in the arches?
NickByrd
I also like the vent pipe. I use incandescents on my arches and you can see the gaps between each of the bulbs. Also each of my arches has 1200 lights and is almost too bright. I am gonna use the vent this year. Thanks.
