ItsMeBobO
Last week I noticed my MIIP.MOBI domain was getting referred to from a site called lightvote.tk. I checked it out and it was a complete copy of my site! Some how they had framed the site and renamed it. Trying to claim it as their own! After a little reading I made a copyright claim to the .tk registrar with a cease at once demand. Only two days and that site was down! Took one email. I really thought it would be harder but I am happy for the success.
George Simmons
I can't help but wonder what nefarious purpose they had in mind in the first place. Good thing you nipped it in the bud.

Tossing a salad has nothing to do with lettuce and Spanking a monkey has nothing to do with a primate!!! lolhad to go there to decipher half of what my son says. You probably won't find words such as "nefarious" there, but you can quickly determine the difference between "felching" and "tea bagging". The Urban Dictionary really helps in deciphering some of today's conversations.

I actually feel better that it was a user and not a person uninvolved and just cyber squating. .tk is also used to claim a domain name in the event the domain expires and is not paid renewal in time. Then they let you buy it back for an arm or two.I can point any domain name you own to MIIP.MOBI for you. They cost around $15 a year. I do not mind doing this for you. My guess is you do not want the lead in page which requires the guest to select the display. It should not be a problem to remove that based on a user setting. Then it will look like a vote site exclusively for your display.
Caleb Linburg
Would the site need to be .mobi? Or would any url work?
ItsMeBobO
any name you own with any top level domain. com net org bizit there .vt domain?FYI It will be a little easier if I buy it for you. But whatever you want is ok with me.-- I take that back. I just checked and its super easy to point a domain not owned by me to my owned domain. So you should buy it. ItsMeBobO
The pages have been changed to support a custom user domain. All I had to do was code your account when I see the custom domain. When using the MIIP Client you can not use your custom domain. That is for the voter/guest from a normal browser.Your test is http://its-me-bob.com This is a domain I own that I have not used in a while. I set this one up to point to your account. Will take it down in a few days. When there is a custom domain the top MIIP panel and links back to it are not shown.Compare to http://MIIP.MOBI to see changes.
