Donny M. Carter
Here is what I want to do.1. Control some lighting in my home when i go out of town.2. Control my landscape lighting.3. Control my Christmas display. All from the same computer using different networks or something. I understand what controls I need for each function, just not sure if I can run three different operations at the same time on one computer. sorry if this is not clear what i'm trying to do. Thanks for any help or suggestions.Donny
Guest guest
I would think this would be possible just using seperate controllers or even a single controller and setting each element up in the sequence editor. ANd require only a single network to do it.That is you could use Controller 1 for the interior house lights on any open channels, any other channels could be the exterior landscape lights. Any channels left could still be used for the Christmas lighting.Or you have Controller 1 control interior lights, controller 2 control exterior landsaping lighting and Controller 3 to existing number of controllers you have control the Christmas lighting.During showtimes for the Christmas Display, you could just turn off the landscaping and interior house lights, but bring them back on once the show comes to an end at the time you specified. Just have a sequence that controls only those lights and leave the Christmas light channels empty (OFF).This is how I'd do it, would only require one network and the proper number of controllers to take care of everything. I've thought about doing this msyelf during off-season times.I'd also use tracks for this: Track 1 would be the interior house lights I want to control, Track 2 would be the Landscape lighting and Track 3 through x would be for the Christmas display, where x would be any number of tracks to break your display down into specific elements (such as blowmolds on a track, wireframes on another, etc.)
Dave Batzdorf
I suggest using x-10 controllers. I do for everything that you just mentioned. There is even an app for the iPhone.
