Arnoldc
Ok, I don't understand what the issue is with this one song I am working on. I have completed a few sequences with no issue, but this one for some reason is being rather odd. When I go to play visible screen and play, the music is a good 3-4 seconds off where it should be. Any ideas?
Guest guest
I've had some strange ones like that. What I have had to do sometimes is reload them into an MP3 editor and then re-export them either as a lower kbps, so if the MP3 is 320, lower it and save it as a 128k file. You may also need to cut out all or a portion of the long silence at the beginning of the MP3 file.I have had some MP3's that have had 4-6 second silence duration at the beginning, I usually always cut mine back to around a 1/2 to 1 second of silence before the sequence starts,I also cut the end silence the same way. This also helps prevent my display from being dark for very long between the music, sometimes not at all, next song just flows right in with very small outage time of the display.A free program to use for this that many use is called Audacity.I have several commercial programs I use that came with my video editing and DVD burning software bundles I use to do this with. So I don't use Audacity, but have heard it's pretty good for this.Hope this may help.
George Simmons
It sounds like you've got a variable bit rate MP3. The cure is using an audio converter, like Audacity - to convert the file to a constant bit rate (128kbps is recommended). That should solve the problem. jimswinder
More than likely your MP3 is not set at a Constant Bit Rate (CBR).Like Orville said, download Audacity... it's free:http://audacity.sourceforge.net/Import your song into Audacity and then export it as an MP3 and it will make it a CBR...Then in your Sequence Editor add this new file it to your sequence using Edit>Media File...EDIT:George types faster than I do!!! lol
George Simmons
Note: With Audacity, you also need to download (and install) the LAME MP3 Encoder.

Arnoldc
I have Audacity, however it will not let me convert a WMA file. Any other programs?

Any ideas?Make sure if you are using mp3s that you burn them using a constant bit rate (CBR) not variable bit rate. I use mp3s all recorded at 320 kbs, for best audio quality (short of a lossless compression format/wav file). If in doubt sequence using a wav file.Greg
