Bill Hoffman
I have 2-24v Potrans Power Supplies for sale. One is brand new in the box and the other has a strip of velcro fastened on it, because I had it mounted in an enclosure testing a dc controller. The one I used for testing has only been used twice, so it is like brand new. I'm asking $30 each (plus shipping) for them, they usually run $45-$50. They measure 5x8x2. The output on them is 24v with a max of 6.5a, so they are perfect for controlling several LED products. Let me know soon, as I'm sure these will go fast.Bill Attached files
Ron Amedee
What LED products run on 24 vdc? Iv'e got a bunch of 24 vdc power supplies "laying around" Lambada,Acopian and others.

Iv'e got a bunch of 24 vdc power supplies "laying around" Lambada,Acopian and others.I'd like to know that too.All the L.E.D. products I use are either directly plugged into an 110-120V ~AC~ outlet or if they use an DC adapter are 6VDC, 9VDC or 12VDC. My snowfall lights are 12VDC.I don't have a single L.E.D. item that operates over 12 Volts that are DC powered by a wal-wart. Not saying there aren't any out there, I just don't own any of them! Ron Amedee
I've got three 12amp 24vdc PS'S and 4-9 amp ones. I'm looking for a way to drop them to 12vdc so I can use them with CCR's.
Bill Hoffman
Actually you can use these to run the LOR DC board, and run LEDs like Flood lights, MR-16's, etc. Or you can hook up the LED devices directly to the power supply. There are lots of LED devices that you can use DC with.Bill

You can usually find this in store at your local Radio Shack or a surplus electronics store. I have used these with a full wave diode bridge coming off 110-120 V ~AC~ to both convert the voltage to DC(FW Diode Bridge), then use the VR to drop the voltage down to 12V or by using 5V or 9V VR's to do the job depending on my voltage requirements for the DC project at hand.Very easy to use these to take those higher voltage DC PS's and drop them down. And here's what one looks like - see below photo. Ron Amedee
Step Down DC/DC ConvertersUsing Buck Converter Topology, and programmable single direction or bi-directional current, these products can be used as current regulators or voltage regulators or current limiters or voltage limiters. Applications are Battery Chargers, Lamp Regulators, UPS PowerSupplies, and Fuel Cell Converters. Load current limit can be remotely controlled.Lokking at something alittle more "clean" Attached files
