Wayne Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Has anyone used holiday soft software and is it worth getting as a add on to LOR?
jimswinder Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I have it and used it...it is okay, but I would wait for LOR to come out with S3...sounds like it will be better if not comparable to Holiday Soft...
Guest guest Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I bought it, barely used it, sorry I wasted the money.Support has a reputation of being, well, questionable...just do a search of the forum.
trankin79 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Can't even buy it if you wanted. I emailed them numerous times with no response, dont waste your time. Wait for S3
ryebred Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Bought it.Used it briefly my first year.Deleted it.Used the LOR animator ever since.
CKSedg Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I also bought it. I used it once, didn't like it, and went to the LOR animator. Don't waste your money.
travis p Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 i have it and use it it has its flaws and has no support but it does work to an extent i find it easier to use than visualizer and faster than a dress rehearsalhttp://www.vimeo.com/user6301066/videos
Guest guest Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I installed it to test it out, did not install properly and said it trial period had ALREADY expired. Tried several times to download and reinstall, just so I could check out the demo of it, no matter what I did, always said the software had expired. Also tried e-mailing with a complaint about it being expired on download since I was getting this message every time I tried installing it. Now I had NEVER installed it on my system ever, this was the first time.No response, no response, no response after several e-mails.That told me right there, forget it and just use what LOR gave me in their software. And then reading others information about it, glad I never bought it either.Seems no support and it just would not work on my computer, even tried a second, third and fourth system, just to be sure that the software would run, got the same "trial period has expired" on ALL the other computers.Sounds like whomever made the program when I got it, had tested it and then put it up for download that already had the timer ticking, so the demo had expired while sitting their waiting for download.I'm sure glad LOR DID NOT do this to their DEMO version of their software, it would never expire and you could keep using it with limitations until you purchased your license.I sure wish more folks that code software would take LOR's approach, I'd be more inclined to BUY software that had unlimited demo time, but had limited functions until purchased.Guess that's why I don't buy software much.
TitusCarnathan Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I use it on a very blue moonthe software has flaws one the screen size needs to be just right or else you cant change the settings right and there is other problems with this software unfortunatly I hate to say it but it was a complete waste of money
John Slade Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I also bought it... used it a few times and then used LOR animator. It seems the more lights i added the more it lagged... I too hate to say but, what a waste of christmas light money!!
jerrymac Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I also purchased it. Liked the visualizer but found it more trouble and overall a deficate. Never used it again (could have spent the money better). It appeared as if it was a general release BETA , The lack of support was the final straw. Uninstalled and wrote it off.
bran357r Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I was looking at getting the software recently. Glad that i took a look here to see the feedback about the software.Putting that aside though. There website has been down for matience for over a month now. Did the company go under?
