cenote Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 OK, I will take a stab at it. I posted a few post yesterday morning after 8:30am. There all gone. I noticed when I logged in yesterday afternoon, I kept getting a forum error, "Forum does not exist" and would revert me to WowBB home page. Now when I log and hit recent, there are no threads between Sat 8:20a and Sunday 8:30a. Was it really that quiet around here :?
Ron Amedee Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Noticed the same thing. Every post from Sat. disapeared!!!
Surfing4Dough Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I wasn't getting any errors and could view the forums as normal (even with changes through the day/evening to the "who's logged on" area, but not posts. Everybody recovering from the sale?
RaceMedic Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I was at work last night and when I tried loggin in to check for messages it came up with an error and could not log in !Dave
rgardner518 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Here is a copy of the email I was sending back and forth with George.[line]Well, I'm not sure if Mr. Fix-it, fixed it or not, but its working now. But one minor comment. This is at least twice you have had serious issues with them. I would switch out ASAP. Which I though you were suppose to do a while back? Guest guest Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Yes, there was DEFINITELY a problem and yes, all the new posts disappeared. I had responded to many posts and left at least3-4 new topic posts. All disappeared and are gone, includig those with photo's I had posted. This is the error I started getting somewhere around 9:05-9:20pm-11:59pm Saturday night and then up to 2:00am or so when I went tio bed Sunday morning:Fatal error: Cannot redeclare date_format() in /home/mywowbb/public_html/boards/lightorama/util.php on line 400Before I went to bed, around 2am or so, I was still receiving this error. For anyone that was "still viewing the forums normally", apparently you do not have your browser clear out caches or refresh pages on every visit to the site.Because if you could view the forums normally during those times, you had to be looking at "cached" forum pages STORED ON YOUR MACHINE! The forums were definitely inaccesible to do anything (you could read some of them, BUT NOT ALL of them!) Some I tried to read popped up with that error posted above. It WAS NOT that quiet here Saturday, I was receiving e-mails from forums I watch, as well as posts(topics in specific forums) that are watched, and all the e-mails from those areas came to a dead halt. No e-mails from the LOR forums during all that time.I tried to send an e-mail, but the only one I had was the "wishlist", so tried sending an e-mail to see if their was a problem after trying again an hour and half - two hours later and still receiving that same error on everything I clicked on or tried to do. Could not reply, could not open a new topic, copuld not access your settings in the my account. Not a thing was working in the forums.
rgardner518 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Anyway it appears to be fixed now.I remember Dan saying they planned on changing to a new forum. But that was back n the fall of 2009. I guess they better think about rethinking about that now, faster than I were before.
shfr26 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I noticed it at about 3 Pm yesterday, just now was able to get logged in.
Guest Don Gillespie Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 noticed the same thing but that was yesterday today is today and it looks like everything is working fine again

shfr26 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 If it takes a chicken a day and a half to lay an egg and a half, how long does it take a grasshopper with a wooden leg to kick the seeds out of a dill pickle?
doug petschke Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 This was nothing but a figment of your imagination everyoneTrust me ?
lightzilla Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Don Gillespie wrote: noticed the same thing but that was yesterday today is today and it looks like everything is working fine againYes except all those new posts I posted and what others posts disappeared. So Don I answered your tomato cage question again. You better look quickly just in case lol.
Guest guest Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Even the changes I had made PRIOR to the crash have all been changed back to what they were. Guess I got to go and reset everything all over again. *ugh* I hate doing that.I'm not even going to try and figure out who or what I answered here or new topiocs started before the BIG LOR FORUM CRASH of 2011. Just hope once I change everything in my settings they will stay that way. KNOCK ON WOOD....

LightORamaDan Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 As most may have picked up in other threads. The host for all wowbb forums (including Light-O-Rama) moved. This was supposed to be transparent and we did not recieve any real notice. It was not transparent and some posts were lost and perhaps some other things but hopefully things will get back to normal soon.
