In laymans terms...

The CCR is a 16ft long "ribbon" with LED's embedded inside the ribbon. It's RGB based (Red/Green/Blue) which allows you to program any color you wish to appear on the ribbon. Inside the ribbon the LED's are mounted on a flexible circuit board (for lack of a better term) which allows the ribbon to be mounted in a variety of positions.

For example: Remember Knight Rider? If you wanted to place your ribbon horizontal, and have a red bar going left to right (and then right to left) you could do that with the CCR.

Example two: Want to wrap the ribbon around PVC to make a really large Candy Cane? You can do that to. In the Knight Rider example above, your red bar would be going up and around the candy cane.

How it works?
The CCR has it's own controller that you connect it to. This controller is what sends the commands to the CCR. If you wished to do so, you could have an entire display driven by CCR's and their controllers. You would not need any other LOR Controller (CTB-PC, for example) to connect to. The CCR controller does everything needed for the CCR.

(That the information you are looking for?)
