error 440

try opening files and keep getting this message error 440. has anyone had this happen and how to repair? i could open with no problem before just started.

First off, list the steps you are trying to do and what's your operating system specs.

And which version of the LOR software are you using?

I seem to recall one of the earlier releases I had that same problem and LOR had to do a revision up to correct it. So you if you're using that revision (sorry I honestly don't recall which one it was), but it was one of the revisons that came not too long after 2.7.6.

So you may need to either revert back to an earlier version or upgrade to a later one to resolve the issue.

thank you for your replys i'm will make notes of everything and get back to the forum. i do know i can't use LOR program, i can use all other programs.

440 is an old vb6 com error. That is a very strange error to get with LOR. Makes me think something else is going on causing the error.

i found the problem thanks to the form and members that help. i had to update LOR and that did the trick. everyone give me ideas. thank you cj
