ace_master Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Wonder who it was that owned the site... surely they are amongst us... whoever it is is from Raleigh, NC.
Jason Burge Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I think his username is michael.farneyor at least he is an administrator.
Surfing4Dough Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Michael also runs http://www.lorsequences.com which is pretty popular around here (which is also duplicated at www.lightoramasequences.com ).
Donny M. Carter Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Please correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you get sequences from there for free right now? How can it make any money buying this domain name? Would you start charging for the sequences?

Would you start charging for the sequences?Or you give the sequences away free, and bury the site in pop ups and click thrus, and try to get some paid advertising. Tough to see how even 400 bucks, much less 3000 would be a wise investment..Whois shows it to be registered to a gentleman named Patrick Yauch..makes sense when you look at the ebay user name.I don't think he's connected to the other two sites...

JBullard Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Do not confuse the two websites.Michael is not selling his website. From an e-mail:On 2/27/2011 10:48 AM, Michael Farney wrote:> J****,>> The website is not for sale. If you look carefully at the listing, they are using a fake URL which looks like my site, but it is not http://LORsequences.com. Thanks for the note though!>> MichaelThe person with the one for sale is in Clayton, NCHe is selling the domain name only, no content.

Guest guest Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yup..thats obvious when you read the description, and, if you visit the website, its essentially parked and hoping for a buyer. The url isn't "fake", just similar...the graphic suggests it was getting hits...but no recollection if I ever visited...doesn't sound like anyone else remembers it either..
MikeH Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Looking at his feedback, he did sell 1 sequence back in Nov 2010. Seems like he sold other stuff too like a couple of tv's, dvd player, etc. I don't think I would buy this domain, certainly not for 4 grand.MikeH

Guest guest Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Point is, that gentleman, Michael Farney, who has the two domain names/sites you mention, has no connection to this the ebay domain name being auctioned.
