How do I run on demand shows easily?

Is there an easy way to launch shows on demand? I'm looking for a command line or shortcut. It needs to be one click and go! I can even write a program if necessary (I'm a software developer).

I'm using this for my wedding and I'd like to ask the DJ to run a few sequences. It looks like if I drop $20 to upgrade, the on demand feature will work, but the documentation shows clicking on pop-up menus, dialog boxes, and then browsing for the file. I'd like something simple. Ultimately I'd love a hardware solution, but I'm not sure if I'll have time unless it's an out of the box add-on.

Drop the 20 and call it good. Or open all the sequences and run them one at a time from the sequence editor. I sometimes do that.

This can be done via the "Triggers" functionality, which is built into the hardware/software.

In this case, the DJ would hit a button and the sequence or sequences would start.

I always have to get help in building the triggers, that's not my thing. The software angle, (programming the triggers) is the easy part (at least for me.)

Don,

Thanks, I think you answered my question. I'm thinking of putting a Giant Button out by the street that says something like "Push to Start the Light Show" for next year. Or maybe you could trigger it by a Cellular Text message via some hardware contraption. I live in an older neighborhood and not all the people are receptive to the "Blinking Lights". That way it would only run when their is human interaction and not continuously. Does this sound like a stupid idea ?

Actually this topic is discussed on another forum in greater detail.......

Thanks..............

One shouldn't spend the Christmas season stressed out over their display. If this lowers your stress level, do it!
