survived my first year, down loaded and adjusted sequences, to fit my 24 channels, now i have some time to try sequences myself, starting by setting up the channel configueraton, placing light in the visualizer, is there anyway to place spaces between the channels, but not have them be "channels" just place holders, ex: under eves....mini trees....maple trees....,

so, choose song, set up channels, set light in visualizer, export channel configuration i welcome anyother suggestions, thanks

Instead of "spaces" I would recommend adding different tracks and grouping your lights that way...under eves....mini trees....maple trees

I agree!

This is my 3rd year and I am just starting to use tracks.

Saving me a ton of time!

I agree with Jim, (edit) and Paul, but to answer your question yes you can.

Just right click on a channel. Click on add channel (above or below). This will add the new channel (space) just don't assign it a controller or channel number and it will work.

btw. If you need a space between 'regular' channels I recommend adding a "RGB channel" as your space. It will be a black line on the sequencer. Will work as a space as long as you do not make any channel/controller assignments to it.

Hmmm...good idea...not ever having any RGB channels did not know that!!

Imagine what that would look like with 96 or 144, or 300 channels... all the more reason to get comfortable with tracks now while you still have control of the situation.

Amen!!

I can't even imagine (any more) the nightmare programming would be without tracks. Especially with many RGB channels.

I'm still a firm believer in keeping a 'master track' with ALL my channels in it though.;)

IS there a tutorial that explains how to use tracks? I have 64 channels now, and planning on adding 32 more for 2011. I'm currently not using tracks, but I would like to learn, encase I want to later.

Not that I know of. But, the help menu explains how to use them.

This is what I do.

Since you can't leave the channel name empty, I just put a SPACE " " in for the name. Then it appears on the channel list as a blank box. Works nicely for seperating diffrent items in the display.

Here is one I had on another post...

This will explain it much better, it has moving pictures: http://lightoramasequences.com/content/view/16/48/

Tracks have been in the software since S2 was released back in Dec 2007

Lot's of threads have been posted here since Dec 2007 about using tracks. These threads are full of information and tips and tricks

I am at work but click (or right click) Create a track (near the top left)

Then go to the first track and COPY a channel to the new track.

*****NEVER DELETE a CHANNEL unless you want it GONE*******

Remove from track works.

Always SAVE before making a change.
