Brian Mitchell Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Well, if Youtube doesn't pull it because it's a TSO song, here is my last new video from the 2010 season. To me, this sequence has an unfinished quality to it. I never really caught the piano in the beginning or did much with the guitar solo, but I'll tweek it for next season as a couple planned new props will address those issues specifically.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSPjf25-tbwIf it is blocked, try it herehttp://imsirius2.multiply.com/video/item/64/2010_TSO_This_Christmas_Day
Brian Mitchell Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Funny, it was still working for me. But I also posted it herehttp://imsirius2.multiply.com/video/item/64/2010_TSO_This_Christmas_Day

The vid screen pop up and has "Please Wait..." behind the play arrow in the center of the screen. This please wait... message never goes away and therefore, even if I click on the tv vid screen play arrow or the one at the lower left under the screen, vids just won't play. Would have loved to see them, but for some reason I can't get no further than "Please Wait..." and I still have it open in another tab on IE 8, been open for a good 10 minutes and still says "Please Wait..." BTW: I already have an account with Multiply, so I was already registered and logged in. Even so, still can't get your vids to play wether I'm logged in or not.
Brian Mitchell Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Orville,Sounds like your browser or the site was having issues. They all seem to work for me in Explorer and Firefox.I have also uploaded this to Vimeo.http://vimeo.com/18711349

Thanks. The other links must be working from a "cached" file on your computer within those programs. I just tried again, and the only one that worked was Vimeo. YouTube has it blocked and get a message saying that. The Multiply still has "Please Wait,,," and still doesn't allow me to "play" the video. And it just holds that "Please Wait..." for all eternity. Been sitting there like that for about 20 minutes and nothing still will work.In Explorer try going to the "tools" option and then clcik "Internet Options", then click the "Delete" button under browsing History, a pop up window opens, check all the boxe EXCEPT passwords, it should be the only unchecked box, then click the "Delete" button at the bottom of the page, allow it to delete the files, then try going to YouTube and Multiply afterward and see if they still work for you. Chances are you'll have the same issues others may have or at you should now see what YouTube is actually sending out to everyone when they click that link.Don't know anything about FireFox so have no idea how that program caches files or how to clean a FireFox cache out since I have never used it.
Guest guest Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Very Nice. Just finished watching the Vimeo video of your Christmas Day song. Very nicely done.Got to say my two very favorites in the video(display) were,#1. The Singing Christmas Tree, really loved how you did the eyes!#2. The Dancing Santa on the roof. Very cool.Enjoyed the entire display set up, but those are the two that just stood out for me.Now if I was just talented enough to build a Singing Tree or Dancing Santa like that, well, then I'd have to build some dancing Monsters, Ghouls, Vampires, Banshees, Wraiths , Werewolves, Scarecrows, Ghosts, Grim Reaper and only who knows what for my Halloween display too. Then I'd have to try and add Dancing Snowmen/Women, Mrs. Claus, Angels, Elves and who knows what else I would think of, so I'd never get done or probably have enough time for anything else., probably would have enough controllers(ie channels) for it either. LOL Would probaby have to alternate displays with all that going on. Think I'll just keep it a little simpler for me so I have time to do what I enjoy.

If it's made, can you take a picture of him (front and back) to show us please? please please please....

I'd love to have one myself! So if he is purchasable, please send us a link as to where to find and buy him!And if not, please let us know how it was built, hopefully with some photos and instructions. Thanks!

He's not a David Moore product is he per chance? I bought some Coro Arches from David Moore that I used in my Halloween (Orange lights) and Christmas (Clear lights) and I can't seem to find the url back to his site(I know I favorited it, but it seems to have disappeared into cyberspace somewhere). So I haven't been able to check lately to see what he may have come up with that may be new. So if it is one of his, and if you have the url to his Coro Products website, sure would appreciate it so I can go check it out and see what DM has got on the site now. Thanks!

Brian Mitchell Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 OK...here's the poop on the Dancing Santa. I borrowed (stole) the idea from Marty Slack (ChristmasUtah.com). I took several screen captures off one of his videos and printed them out to get the different positions. I ended up with two patterns with the different positions and then transferred them to the coro doing one with a red marker and one with a blue marker to keep them seperate.Next I figured all the body parts to work out to 50light sections and punched all the holes.Marty used 6 channels for his but I had to use seven because the lower body is common to both positions on mine. The picture above looks like Marty's.You can see some closeups of mine herehttp://imsirius2.multiply.com/photos/album/14/New_for_the_08_Display

GS Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Great work Bri, let us discover the lights! One of my favorite TSO songs, but rarely used. Gotta love the build and the chorus at the end. This one has been on my 2011 "to do"play list. You using it confirms it is a good choice.Another one of your vids added to my library.Thanks.Glenn
