Our First Year Display, the Boat

This was our first year using LOR, and our first year in the Christmas Boat Parade. We finally got to video a couple of the songs that we did for the Sacramento Christmas Boat Parade before the season ended. The boat is at the dock, but it gives you an idea of what it looked like. Next time we’ll try to capture it on the River. The one thing that jumped out at me was; NOT enough lights..

I want to thank all those who posted thier ideas on the forum and shared thier sequences.. It was a great help.

Thanks for the comments. We used less than the channels available in two LOR1602 for the rails, stars and tree. And we used three CCR's (two on the antennas and one on the pole in the center of the tree). The CCR's were the biggest hit, but the video doesn't do them justice. My wife is now hooked, (boat thing), more lights are already on order, and we’re waiting on the next sale.

Last one, I promise. The local news channel got an arial shot of the marina so I couldn't help myself but to post it on youtube. I did get a several requests wanting to know where to get the controllers, so the 4th of July Parade could get interesting.

They just caught it by accident, they were covering another news item from the air and spotted the boat from the distance. I got a copy from pilot, and dubbed in the music after the fact. A nice bunch of people.
