testraub
What is the differance between M5 and M6 LED bulbs? Just wondering since some have both, some have only one or the other.ThanksTom Straub
-klb-
Be sure you are not also mixing in 5mm to the mix. They are not the same as M5..M5 is usually the closes in physical dimensions to a traditional incandescent mini light.5mm is smaller, closer to a point source light. Personally, the good ones look most like a mini light when viewed from across the street. Not so good ones are annoyingly directionally sensitive.M6 is the same shape as M5, but larger. More like the extra size mini lights that you sometimes see at Home Depot, at least in years past.

Greg Young
I've used both.I like the M5 "minis", especially if using them on wireframes. (based strictly on lesser spacing). I prefer ropelight over minis on frames, as the former gives better definition due to 1 inch light spacing, but I have converted mini-bulbed frames to LED strings and use a few in my display. As to mixing M5 and M6s, it really depends how close the viewer is. From a distance it is harder to tell.Greg
