Custom Fade

I can change the custom fade through "Tools", but when I select "Custom" and "Fade Down" either "Custom:Shimmer" or "Custom:Twinkle" are auto selected and I can not get them off. Any ideas?

Don't click on the Custom, and your fades will work fine.

The Custom feature is for (an example) fading twinkle, etc. If you don't click the custom, and you have your fade set from 75->0, and draw a fade, it will be 75->0, just as you selected.

Just to add a little to what Don said, to be explicit:

If you select the Custom tool, then it's supposed to be that way: One of "Custom Twinkle" or "Custom Shimmer" should be on.

Also, one of "Custom Fade Up", "Custom Fade Down", or "Custom Intensity" should be on.

So, using the Custom tool, you can make:

• Twinkling fade up
• Twinkling fade down
• Twinkling intensity
• Shimmering fade up
• Shimmering fade down
• Shimmering intensity

If you want to do a fade down, without shimmering or twinkling, then select the Fade Down tool, not the Custom tool and Custom Fade Down.
