using triggers

can a director card accept inputs to start a sequence with a trigger or can this only be done via a mini-director?



if so what parts would I need to buy? from what I can figure out I could use a 1602W w/ director, with the CTB16 input connector, and PIR motion detector

The Director card can accept 6 trigger inputs (from memory) and the mini-director can only accept 3 trigger inputs.

As far as parts, what do you want to use to trigger the input? A push button switch, a motion detector, pressure sensitive mat? The choice is yours.

The "trigger" can have either N.O. or N.C. contacts, you specify when you set it up

I just use a push button for a door bell that works fine.
