PerryH
I am thinking about adding a second controller and a Mini Director to my system. Since the Mini Director does not have a timer built in, I will need an external timer. If I put this timer on the power supply cable that goes to 1 bank of 1 controller, will everything work when the timer is on and will everything turn off when the timer is off. I know that with 1 controller, you need both cables plugged in for it to run. Would unplugging 1 of the cables shut down a complete system with multiple controllers and accessories? JBullard
99.99% of us leave the controllers powered up all season.I use an external power supply on my mini-director and let the timer turn the mini-director on and off.
PerryH
John,Thanks for the reply. I'll try to remember to look you up next year to see your new display. I was thinking about putting the Director inside one of my controller boxes and not run any more power cords. But, I see how your way would work pretty easily.
