bmccormack89
I have a CTB16PC Controller, which I use as a standalone unit. I had a sequence programmed into the box but decided to change the sequence. When I brought the controller back inside and tried to hook it up to the computer, it wasn't being recognized. At first my computer was telling me there was a Comm port error. I disconnected everything then uninstalled the USB adapter, restarted the computer, and re-installed the USB adapter/software. The Comm port was now being recognized. When I plugged the ethernet into the controller the LED went from blinking to constant on. I tried to Refresh the unti list, but it tells me no units are being found. I have uninstalled the software for the USB multipule times, and have even tried resetting the controller. My computer is still not recognizing the controller. The controller does not remember the saved standalone sequence, even before I reset the controller. I am running Windows 7, LOR 1.6.3, and using the USB 485 adapter. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Don
The CTB16PC is not a standalone controller. Requires a computer, MP3 director or "D" series card to control it.http://store.lightorama.com/ctretogonoas.htmlNote: This controller cannot run standalone it must be connected to a PC or a LOR Director Unit. bmccormack89
Thanks Don. I must have recieved some freak product, b/c my controller has ran as a standalone since I purchased it, which was almost three years ago. Regardless of wheather it's supposed to operate in that fashion... The problem is my computer will not even recognize the controller.
displaysinmotion_will
if you purchased it three years ago you may not have a pc series but a showtime series board. does your board have screw terminals at the bottom for power and output connections or jumper connectors?
