hi all,

newbie here, sorry to ask but i have just purchased 16 sets of lights for my new first controller, but the lights have the silly little 8 function plastic push a button controllers conected to them.

can the LOR controller still be connected with these on or do i need to cut them off. or at worse buy new light strings without the little plastic 8 function controllers

Return them to the store and get ones without controllers.

Depends if you want a chase or twinkly when the controller turns them on. I have some on my gutter mixed with other lights set to twinkle as a cheap substitute for strobes.

I have one set of 5 stars with the controller. Doesn't fade as well as a few other sets of LED's I have, but I put to steady on and can fade them to about 30% before I run into any problems.

I'm surprised it still fades at all. My understanding is that fading (and shimmer) is extremely detrimental to mini light controllers and LED transformers.
