LENNY RUEL
Hi Gang: A little hang up here I can't seem to figure out. I decided to go all animated this year instead of my usual of having about 25% static and the rest sequenced. We set up the show in show editor of course. I stated with an animation sequnece of 30 minutes and my THX intro in the start up tab. Then in musical we have the 17 sequneced songs along with the voiceovers. At the end we have the close voiceover and a 45 minute animation under the shutdown tab. We'll use last night as an example time wise...I have the program scheduled to start at 4:30PM. At that time my static lights fade up in the opening 30 minutes animation then fade off at the end. The THX opening comes up and then we go into the musical sequences, all as I expected. Problem is at the end. I have the sheduled ending at 10:45 PM figuring with the 45 minute animated sequence in Shutdown the musical stuff should be done at 10:00PM. It isn't closing down though. I have to go in and hit "dissable show gracefully" and the current song finishes up and then it goes to the shutdown tab and runs the ending voiceover and that 45 minute animated sequence. For tonight I tried changing things up. I went to the schedule editor and ended the show at 10. Then I changed the name of the shutdown which had that last voiceover and the 45 minutes of animation to it's own "End of night lights" title. Then I went back to the Schedule editor, clicked NEW and brought that in shutdown but instead of going right at 10PM, I went 10:00;10 to 10:45 giving a little space between that last song and the closing. Am I missing something? Easier way? It just isn't clicking for me and I know it has to be right in front of me. Thanks as usual.Lenny
bob
I'm not 100% sure if I'm understanding, but:If you have the show scheduled to run until 10:45, then the Shutdown section will not start until at least 10:45. Whatever sequence in the Musical section happens to be playing at 10:45 will be allowed to finish, and then the Shutdown section will begin. Tim Fischer
The easiest way to accomplish this is put your "static" sequence in a separate show. Schedule your main show to end at 10pm. Schedule the static show from 10pm-10:45pm. The main show will finish shortly after 10pm (when the song finishes), and go right into your static show. You could put a short audio sequence in the shutdown section of the main show to say "we're done animating for the evening, please enjoy our static display" or some such. LENNY RUEL
Bob:That's what I was starting to figure.Tim:That's kind of what we just set up last night. End the musical portion at 10 and then go the shutdown/static as a seperate show. Sounds like I don't need the 10 second gap in there though before the show ending voiceover that starts the static lights. So are we all going to burn off PC and go CC or HU? Sounds like it's really coming to a head.Lenny
keven
I have the same problem....I have three shows 6pm 7pm 8pm each show consists of 6 songs with THX intro at the beginning of each show. The 6pm show starts and when all the songs are done it starts playing all over again. I included a shutdown sequence but that does not even come on. A little help please. You need to know what time your last song plays. For instance if your last song starts at 6:27, then you could change the end time of your show to say 6:28. When that time is reached the song that's playing will be allowed to finish and then the shutdown sequence will begin. After the shutdown sequence ends, the yard will be dark until the time of the next show..To change the end time of a show open the Schedule Editor, click on the show and select edit.
