Phippers
This year I broke down and decided to give Light-O-Rama a try, and I love your guys forum, and the controller went together really easy (and love the strain relief). I hooked it into my system of 4 D-light ACX16's run off of aurora software. and the controller was occasionally lagging in areas with long fades on incandesents(sp?). Basically the newest firmware 4.40 has a "fix" that causes this to happen in the network, so I need to load 4.20. However, it will not load onto the controller, it says the firmware is not for that controller... any Ideas?THanks!

You need to check network speed to see if that's causing the problems. 4.40 is the current and right firmware for that unit.
Phippers
i understand that it is the correct. Because of Aurora (Which is my sequencer) I must downgrade my controller. Is there any way to do this? I'm Crossing my fingers cause it looks bad!

sadayo
I'm going to hop on the bandwagon with a stupid question. I have the CTB16D Commerical 16 channel light controllers. I see there's a Blue Controller and Green Controller on the Firmware Update options. How do you know which one?
-klb-
You access your RJ-45 jacks through a hole in the inner face of the controller. What color is the board they are mounted on?
sadayo
Both Blue. I figured it had something to do with the circuit board. What's the difference between the two? Is LOR using green for the DIY controllers and blue for the pro-built ones? For people who continue to add controllers, wouldn't they have different boards, such as v5 and v7? Should you always go through your Hardware Utility to select the correct firmware for each controller? Or can you just download a couple firmware selections? The two different colored boards came into being due to a mfg change in components that were used on the boards. So primarily it used different chips. The easiest way for the average consumer to tell the difference was to change the board colorIs LOR using green for the DIY controllers and blue for the pro-built ones? No For people who continue to add controllers, wouldn't they have different boards, such as v5 and v7? YesShould you always go through your Hardware Utility to select the correct firmware for each controller? YesOr can you just download a couple firmware selections? No, the firmware instructions are written for the particular microchip that is on that board

The microchip on that controller is different then some of the older boards. Firmware ver 4.40 is the ONLY version that will work with his board. His problem is he is trying to use another companys software (Aurora) that apparently is not supporting the LOR Controllers made after mid-2009.
