Well all my disappointing thoughts about the lack of snow have vanished today. We just got dumped with 18 incehes of the fluffy stuff. Had to blow my driveway out 2 times but it sure makes the display pop. For all you southerners I hope you are jealous.

Hey, its cold here too (central florida)... Nighttime temps this week down into the low 30s, high 20s.

For us transplanted midwesterners, with thin blood..that's an arctic blast..:(

Jeff

Living where I live these freak storms can occur throughout the winter due to the Great Lakes...... It's what they call "Lake Effect Snow" and when it starts it can cripple the city sometimes for a couple of days.

We got an 18"er last year and didn't go away till spring. Nearly ruined one of my bushes. It also messed up some of my lights. I raised my lights off the ground this year :)

Well.... the Snow Gods aren't through with us yet. The snow we got yesterday is to be complimented with another 10 inches today along with high winds. I raised my mini trees 8 inches off the ground thinking that would get us through till Christmas but now it looks like I'll have to clear some snow away so you can see all the LED's.

Mike I have been building stands for all my display to take them 18 inches off of the ground for a couple of years now best Idea I came up with because the LED lights don't have enough heat in them to melt the snow we seem to be getting more snow every year now, like back in the sixties when the snow could reach the top of your roof line I hope this doesn't happen
