Our 2010 Display

We had a couple inches of snow last night so I figured I'd take some pictures of the display. I'm hopeful to get a video or two done tonight since the snow really helps make the colors pop when recording... but who knows. :D

Looks very nice. The fresh snow seems to bring more people out looking at lights.

Funny you should mention that... we've been pretty busy tonight and the wife commented how much better the display looks with the white stuff on the ground. Only bummer is it's supposed to rain/icy rain all day tomorrow so it'll be back to grass soon.

On the brighter side, our new songs(Santa's Elves, Hot Chocolate, Sandstorm, and Nutrocker) are a big hit. I feel bad saying my new favorite song of the year is Sandstorm since it's not a Christmas song but damn it rocks. :)

Hopefully we'll have some videos this week...

 I'm sorry, that stinks!
up here we managed to miss the snow, but not the blizzard-condition winds that are wreaking havoc.

We got about ten inches here and it's blowing pretty good out there right now. Surprisingly, we had quite a bit of traffic tonight - three vehicles in the street right now. Go figure...

Had to take pictures of the display tonight for the Christmas card so I decided to see how our Fujifilm camera did with video... heh... it came out pretty good except for only being 640x360. Wish my Canon video camera would capture the colors this well. :)

very impressive! nice job

Thanks a lot. The video makes everything look soo small since I had to go across the street to get everything in frame. Local people are amazed at how different the display looks *in person* as opposed to *on the computer*. ;)

  • 3 weeks later...

Finally uploaded more videos. They were all taken with our FujiFilm still camera this year due to my laziness. :) It's just so easy to point, shoot, and edit with this camera I can't justify getting the "good" camera out.

A quick little walk-through of our display I made for someone who was interested in what goes on behind the scenes for a display:

Thanks.

I learned a walk-through is harder to do than it seems... I guess I should have thought about it a bit before I did it. :(
