shfr26
They are doing a yard in Christmas lights, using, what else, but Light O Rama. Was going to post earlier, but wanted to see what they are using. I'm sure it will repeat in the near future. 16 channel Showtime box.

shfr26
The show" Yardcrashers", had a episode on this A.M. that they did a front yard makeover for Christmas. Did several homemade decorations and used a LOR Showtime controller. As to where, not sure, as to why, thats what the show is about, redoing yards. Thought it was neat to see LOR mentioned. They used all LED's so Jeff won't watch it .

But you are correct. Still need to get a good video of my display. MAybe I'll read the book on my new camera and get it figured out.

I just got a Canon Rebel T1i DSLR with HD video. I got some nice video, but it's Quicktime and I'm hunting for some software that works. We got snow yesterday, looks great, but, after shoveling the sidewalk, driveway and street getting plowed, the snow is starting to pile in front of my lights. Could soon be an issue for my border lights and other landscaping lights.

scubado
I hope the camera does well for you. I've had an Olympus big zoom camera for years. Loved the zoom and pics are ok, but not as sharp as a DSLR. This time I went with a DSLR with HD, but the video has limitations. Great for videoing the display, but moving subjects could be a problem, manual focus if subject changes distance which requires tripod to keep camera still while refocusing. btoerck
The episode on DIY i saw last week was where they did a yard and did a great job with all the lights but didnt go the extra step to add LOR. This must have been a different episode. The episode I saw was a naighborhood grinch that would only put out a few ornamental bears and penguins when the rest of the neighborhood went elaborate. My wife recorded it for me then we watched it and were both dissappointed when they didnt go the extra step.
