Don Posted December 2, 2010 Share Posted December 2, 2010 With the recent versions of the firmware for the DC-MP3, more brands are supported, as well as different formatting types.Odds are in your favor that if you get one from your locale store, it will work for you. wallleyes Posted December 2, 2010 Author Share Posted December 2, 2010 DonI just bought my mp3 director during the spring sale.I dont have the version handy but its 3.something.I have a few cards and the only one that works all the time is the lexar 512 that was shipped with the director.I bought 2-2 gb lexar cards and neither work.First i bought 2 sandisk 2 gb cards and 1 of them worked only once.I have a pny 1gb card and it has never worked.They are all formatted fat.Not the fat32.Maybe my firmware is out dated already.Or i just plain got one fussy lil director. I bought the 12 pk of fuses from them last year. An me too, it was charging $12 for shipping. I called them and this is what I was told by Brian,"The Yahoo check system does not actually charge your card but in fact sends them the information to do the manual charge. They have no way to adjust the shipping on the store. The store does not know the size of a package and charges the same across the board. That they find the cheapest way to ship it and LOR charges Actually shipping charges. I just purchased a 12 pack of the fuses two days ago and the shipping charge was zero in the store and on the final invoice. I was even able to get Kevin to throw five spare triacs into the package for me at no extra cost.I also run my show with the MP3 Director. I did update the firmware last month, but never bothered trying to run the show from a different SD card other than the original 512mb.
