Broken ceramic capacitor part C1 on the DIY CTB16K

I'm unsure of the replacement part for this one. I broke one end off of the C1 10uf ceramic capacitor. Tech support said I could use a 1uf tantalum capacitor. Radio shack has the 10uf tantalum capacitor 16wvdc max or 0.1uf ceramic- capacitor 50wvdc max high k dielectric. Which one can I use for a replacement? On the assembly manual it says that C1 is a 10uf 50V 10% ceramic capacitor. Thank You

You can use this part from Radio Shack:

10µF 16V 20% Dipped Tantalum Capacitor
Model: 272-1436 | Catalog #: 272-1436

This cap is polarity sensitive and will have a mark on the positive side.

There will be a mark on the board for the positive side which is towards the Status LED. There is also a 1uF Tantalum that you can use if the 10uF is not available, which is also polarity sensitive.

Thanks a million!!!!

No problem! We don't want a < $2.00 part to hold up the Christmas display!
