knyurk
Hello, my first year and almost ready for the show to start(I love it). I have searched and can't quite get the info I need. I see that most of you are using a splitter to run the fm transmitter and computer speakers at the same time. My question is how do you keep the computer from sending any system sounds(like mouse clicks or other applications from sending sounds to the transmitter. Can this only be done by using two sound cards? I use the same pc for a home office as the show support and need to use it in the evenings when the show is playing. Thanks
Don
Control Panel -> Sounds - Then depending on your version of Windows, you'll want to tell Windows to disable system sounds.

knyurk
thanks for the feedback, I knew about turning off system sounds but didn't know if there was another way to actually have one sound card only play sound coming from LOR. My guess is that most of you have a dedicated computer that isn't used for anything else?
vipzach
I don't think there is a way except disabling system sounds and I have never setup two sound cards.I use a dedicated laptop for the show. You could buy a pretty cheap computer off craigslist for the show, it requires very little processing power. Rafter Bar R
Windows sounds going out over your transmitter. We had a commercial radio station here in ND, an AM one that let those Windows sounds over their transmitter for almost two years. Someone figured out how to turn them off.
