100 mini lights...i figure it like this,my display will have on the first 8 channels.....5300 lights...if i figured it right that would be 17.49 amps is this correct......seems on their site they figure 6 (600) mini would equal 2 amps...so 6000 would equal 20 amps...?correct?....so if im running 5300 that would only be 17.49...not maxing it out...right...mike

Did you change the input power cords to this controller? Normally even though the circuit board is capable of handling 40 amps, they are only shipped with 14 AWG (15 amp) power input cords.

Also note that a power input cord rated for 20 amps will have a different plug style and will not fit into a standard wall outlet.

So 17 plus amps will be overloading the 15 amp rated power input cords, unless you did the modifications to the controller.

You already got input from one of this hobby's smartest people. Would it sound more official if someone else told you the very same things?

Sounds like you have it figured out. I did not recheck your math calculations though.
